Our daughter said this was her new favourite breakfast stop, that the coffee is great and there are lots of healthy choices, so off we went. She was right, it was a gorgeous trendy little cafe, lovely wait staff and delicious (and healthy) choices. I...had the bibimbap, which I really enjoyed (despite my sweet tooth lol). Would definitely come back.
I noticed that the restaurant was bustling on a Sunday morning, so I decided to come back during a quieter time the following week. It was very peaceful and the patrons were speaking in hushed tones. While I saw others drinking water, I was not offered any. I opted for a coffee and a muffin, which turned out to be a warm and accompanied by a small serving of butter. The muffin was extremely dense and satisfying, and the coffee was flavorful. The prices were very reasonable.
We have been dining at Walk Don't Run since 2016. The breakfast/lunch menu is unique compared to other brunch spots in Melbourne, with organic, nutritious, healthy, and tasty options. The owner, Tom Elesits, and his wife have created a successful formula. The prices are reasonable and the location, although previously disrupted by construction, is now quieter and more pleasant. During our visit on November 17, 2019, the restaurant was busy with patrons engaged in quiet conversations. I tried the new dish, Buddha Bowl, which was a delicious mix of short grain brown rice, organic vegetables, tofu, and vegan mayo served in a coconut shell. My wife enjoyed the Korean bibimbap, a long-standing menu item that was also delicious and healthy. Our son ordered a rice dish with tofu which was flavorful with the right amount of saltiness and spice. Overall, it was a satisfying meal on a Sunday afternoon. Tom engaged us in lively conversation and as always, we left the restaurant happy with the food and atmosphere. Walk Don't Run is a must-visit spot in Melbourne, conveniently located near Armadale station. It truly captures the essence of dining in the city.
Every time I visit this restaurant, I try something new and it is always delicious. The cafe is located in a charming arcade off of High Street, with outdoor seating as well. The interior and exterior are both beautiful. The food is all organic and prepared with great attention to detail. The fusion of modern Japanese cuisine is exceptional. They also have a fantastic selection of teas. The service is friendly and makes for a relaxing atmosphere. I tried a Kongee style dish and a noodle dish with tofu, both of which were amazing. There is a level of care and attention to detail here that sets it apart from other places.
