Venice House Pizza - Melfort

Had a very tasty and healthy meal. The Garden fresh salad, with side dressing was just what we need after . days travelling. Shared the Seafood Schnitzel, delicious with a tasty baked potato!

Our hockey team made a reservation a few days ahead of time. We sat for almost an hr before they even took our orders. Waitresses- not their fault- had no clue what they were doing! Food was by far disgusting, wrong and late. Our team was late for our event! Some people never even got their food! You can’t tell me this place wouldn’t be shut down if a food inspector came in! This is unacceptable.

Group of 10 us went to the attached pub. Most of us ordered pizza as they had a 2 topping pizza special going on. I found the waitress was initially great as she ID’d under age persons trying to drink Alcohol. The food was decent, but the service and refill of drinks was slow. When it came to the bill, I was charged regular price for the pizza (A difference of $9). When I asked the waitress about it, she advised that the extra topping I had on one half of the pizza meant I was ineligible for the Special price. She refused to Just charge for the extra topping on the half of the pizza and failed to mention the regular price charge. Long story short, I got charged $9 for a single topping on half the pizza. I gave a 2 star because of the significant over charge and slow service. I would have given 1 star but was impressed with the IDing and subsequent kicking out of the minors.

Went to Venice House Wed. April 10 2019 and ordered dry ribs . The waitress said they were out of ribs. My son had soup and was told they were out of crackers. No big deal . April 16 2019 six of us again went to Venice House to order . Still again out of dry ribs , one person ordered chicken fingers , they had to check to be sure they were not out of them before they would take the order and the flavor of dipping sauce she ordered they were also out of . Not sure what is going on here but this restaurant used to be good but has now turned pathetic. We will not be back here again .

I have been going to Venice house for years and every time I do, I am hoping that some day a surprise will happen and it never does. Venice house has had the same stuck in a time warp for almost a decade here. There are a few complaints, that is typical with a restaurant chain like this. They never eat their own food ! Here are the main issues and if addressed could turn humdrum into an experience. same old traditional Greek menu. Same old boiled out vegetables, that has to have holandaise sauce added to flavor AND add heat. They are cold if ordered without. Feta cheeze on a sandwich so thick it overpowering, and I love Feta. I like this restaurant, but I have to concede that I go their only if prodded.
