Mother's Pizza - Melrose

We have gone to mother for over 10 years, never had anything I didn't like, their pizza is tender and thinner, but good supplements and ratio, their subparts are large and packed and their portions overflow for fries and chicken fingers. the prices are also tariff. the young are friendly and homelike family. try them for themselves if it is not for them that ok also, they have made it for 40 people who care and love their things, their part of the community!

If you're visiting from outside New England and you come across Greek-style pizza, keep in mind that it may not be what you expect. Personally, I think it's quite good, and my mother makes a tasty version. This style of pizza, which originated from Greek immigrants rather than traditional Greece, features a buttery, crispy crust. The sauce is sweeter than typical pizza sauce, and the cheese often includes some cheddar, giving it a unique flavor.

Safe is one of the best pizza places around, and their tuna subs are equally fantastic. The portions are generous enough to easily feed two people. The quality of the food is excellent, all at a reasonable price. They've been in this location for many decades, which speaks to their enduring popularity.

I can understand why this place has received such high ratings, as it seems to have a community vibe, especially among the young staff behind the counter who genuinely care about their work. However, I wanted to love this place, and I think a total rating of 3.5 stars would more accurately reflect the food quality and my experience spending money here. The pizza was uninspiring and honestly disappointing, particularly the crust, which left me feeling let down. The wings were also below average. While other reviews suggest they might be good, I personally don't feel the need to return. I can easily find much better pizza in the city for the same price, so I don’t see any reason to keep this spot rated so highly in Melrose. Overall, I’d give it two stars.

I've been going here for 11+ years. Food is alwaya fantastic. The guys are great. Its always fast and the prices are good. Always my first choice for subs.
