We had the baked camembert for starter and paid extra for the parma ham, the portion was very generous and the bread gorgeous and hot. Steak for main cooked medium and was perfect just right and the sweet potato fries were amazing. Dessert was amazing chocolate fondue with mash mellows, strawberries and shortbread. The husband asked if he could pay to take 1 of the decoration heart balloons home but we was allowed to take 1 home for free! Thank you all so much it has been one spectacular valentines
Visited The Grange with Mum (50 mile round trip and a bare-knuckle drive round the bends), as I’d purchased a plant from a summer agricultural show last year and they were so lovely. Well, we were not disappointed. Lunch was tasty, with lovely fresh ingredients but the icing on the cake was the service given by a young lad called Ellis. Such friendly attentiveness without being obvious. It made our trip, to tell the truth. Oh, and their David Austin roses are the best price around.
Stayed 10 nights at the Grange caravan park in the heatwave in September. Absolutely outstanding. The owners couldn't do enough and made our stay a pleasure. They even brought fresh scones to our caravan and sausage for our little dog. Would most definitely recommend and most definitely return. Stunning park and surroundings. Spotlessly clean with Fantastic amenities and just few minutes from the town of Melton mowbray. Can't wait to go back
New year Eve Eve absolutely amazing night the staff were brilliant as usual and the entertainment the Veletones stunning highly recommend
Poignant family meal out with my father, who had a stroke a year ago and has literally been housebound for the whole year. This was Dad’s first trip out since his stroke and the experience was ruined… poor food and terrible attitude by the owner of the garden centre and restaurant. I had explained Dad’s needs due to his recent disability on booking and although this information was not passed to the dining team, I was made to feel that it was my fault that they then had to try and seat us in a suitable location, which was challenging, due to my Dad’s needs. Then we waited nearly an hour for our meal after being seated and it when it arrived, the food was poor. I had the festive fish lunch 3 small potatoes, 3 Brussels sprouts, some over cooked carrots and peas and a very dry and small piece of cod wrapped in Parma ham. It was not worth the £15 price tag. The table was sticky and there was more food on the floor around us than on my plate. I have been a loyal customer at the garden centre for 19 years but I will not be returning in future as the owner’s attitude was really rude she did not care one iota about either our poor experience, the challenges we faced or the lack of my future custom when I said I won’t be back. She was more bothered that she was tired after a busy day well try living the year I’ve had and I might have sympathy.
