Not a pub for grown ups or a quiet pint since the beer garden is over run by noisy children. The outdoor area also faces a car park and lacks atmosphere.
It was a Monday night I'd been let down by the other pub in the village not serving food . The landlady rustled me up pie and mash , very tasty and generous portion , nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere was extremely friendly . Lovely pub which I would recommend visiting .
Revisited after not being to this village for a couple of years. Disappointed at the loss of the choice of a local beer but a nice pint of Timothy Taylor. Unfortunately the pub was cold and keeping coats on was necessary . No food available and stand in barman stated no chef employed at present. Persistent and loud swearing from local men in the bar area made the atmosphere unpleasant for my family . No owner or manager available to complain to . A real swing down for what was once a very pleasant pub.
Great interior with large pool table. Sadly the atmosphere is rather stale and the service disinterested.
