We had a large party and we were not able to be seated until everyone arrived. The service was great. The food on the other hand was mediocre. My family eats egg whites. They serve either whole eggs with the yolk or egg white beaters with yellow dye to give the beaters color. I'm not a fan of egg beaters and very finickywhen it comes to food so I just went with the beaters for the sake of it because I had already looked over the menu weeks in advance. I gave everything a try on my plate but didn't end up eating most of it. If it weren't for the beaters Iwould have really enjoyed my omelet. My children loved the bacon and pancakes. The syrup for the pancakes comes in tiny jars which were just the cutest. I personally would not go back, but if you don't mind the beaters I think it would bea decent place for breakfast. Try it for yourself...
A great experience of phenomenal food and customer service. Portions are plentiful but so good there?s not point trying to resist. Fluffy biscuits with a yellow jam (I?m assuming) picked from the heavens is a must for all meals. Fans of spice should go for the fireman and the hungry tiger is a solid choice for anyone! A must for breakfasts willing to deal with a wait in Memphis.
Somehow Brother Juniper's has lost its rustic appeal from several years ago, in many small ways. The food is ordinary. I don't taste the biscuits that once made me look forward to traveling a thousand miles. The biscuit is served with commercial jelly instead of a sample of Brother Juniper's own preserves (which would motivate one to purchase a jar to take home). The omelets, grits and coffee are thoroughly mediocre. The charming sign that used to hang outside, veryhelpful in locating the establishment, is gone. The only remaining vestiges of the breakfast we used to love are friendly service and coffee served in random non-matching mugs.
The American dinner still lives. A local favorite and I can see why. It was so busy on a Sunday morning and everyone was hustling. It was made with love and they even have their logo on a mini maple syrup, how cute. It?s more of a home style type situation, and I would prefer this to something fancy anyway. I wish I could remember my waitresses name she was fantastic! Thank you.
This breakfast was so good. ask them to hold the jalapeño if they don't like it. *please note.* the veggie sausage uses a binding agent so they are not vegan. updated by previous review on 2022-01-15
