Jack Pirtle's Chicken - Memphis

This place has really declined. I ordered two steak sandwiches and two large fries, but when I got home, I discovered there were no fries in the bag—my mistake for not checking. The first steak sandwich was tough, and the gravy was overwhelmingly salty and peppery. I tried the second sandwich, but it was equally disappointing. I spent $21 and still had to go elsewhere for a decent lunch.

The service, food, and prices were excellent. I especially enjoyed the seasoning on the livers and chicken. I definitely plan to go back!

I have no complaints! My wife and I recently moved to North Carolina and came back to Memphis on business last week. We decided to visit the same restaurant, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the same meal and drink as before, and even though I hadn’t been there in four years, it felt just like old times. When I return to Memphis in the future, I’ll definitely stop by again.

Great food but poor customer service... while in drive-thru waited 10 min at the intercom with no type of acknowledgement that we were there... even after saying hello a couple of times just to make it known we are there... another time while at thewindow the customer service wasn 't warm or welcoming as if they were bothered etc.

I hadn't eaten Jack Pirtle chicken in quite a while. The line was long but it's always been long. The batter on the chicken was different which made the chicken not taste as good. The gravy was still delicious. It will probably be a while before I return.
