We started with southern fried green tomato crispy on the outside and soft and juicy inside; served with an acidic cream dimmer! the local golden spirit of memphis was a great accompaniment to the fried tomatoes..Though kings palast has a great rate of comfort escapees including the rubber bears- their garnels and crust fish étouffée is not to be missed. with brot and rice, the etouffée was a good balance of spice and warmth. the only possibility was that they have no good choice of desserts.. overall it is a very retro, laid space that will not burn a large hole in the pocket.
Great food, lovely staff! I had the Cajun Grilled Chicken Pasta it’s was a plate full, and just the right amount of spicy. My husband had the BBQ Platter with pulled pork, wet ribs, and voodoo potatoes the meat was cooked perfectly and had a wonderful flavor.
New to the area and decided to center out. The staff was amazing and the food was delicious! We did the kings platter for 2 and we did the fried green tomatoes. The amount of food is insane. We definitely had a to go box!
I had fantastic customer service during my visit tonight. The crab cakes were outstanding, and the pulled pork sandwich was incredibly tender.
Beale Street can be quite loud, but Kings Place had an amazing solo blues musician who created a nice atmosphere where we could comfortably talk and enjoy our meal. The BBQ Kings platter was excellent, and the prices were reasonable.
