Memphis Soul Southern Cooking

I had dinner at Memphis Soul tonight and it was pure pleasure. The owner was personable and kind, the food was fresh, savory, and delicious! I've been in Memphis for a conference for a week and my dinner here was the best food and service I had! The restaurant is colorful and filled with charm. Go if you have the chance, you will enjoy it immensely.

I always support black owned and this restaurant was great. Only reason for my 4 star is the greens were a miss for me and the cobbler lacked the best part the crust! Other than that the smothered chops were good and so was the service. I'll give this place a2nd chance next time I'm in town.

I Wish I Could Give This Place 0 Stars. Food Took Extremely Long, Chicken Had No Flavor, Mac&Cheese Was Salty. Never Coming Back To This Place! Please Don't Waste Your Money!

The food is absolutely delicious, I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans amazing the cornbread muffins were great , the portions are huge. The atmosphere is really nice and pleasant most definitely will return and bring others.

I miss it being 99cent Soul Food. Where I could go and get a veggie platter for $5-6! I saw all sides were now $3-5 each, so I opted in to get the Blackened Salmon for $14.99(NO SIDES INCLUDED) only a strip of salmon. Of course I added 2 sides to make a complete meal which my total came out to be $22.50(drink not included). They even charged for hot sauce lol. Yes, I enjoyed the meal, but no I doubt I'll make it my first choice when getting soul food in Memphis. Thanks for the plate though!
