We were in the way from the brooks museum and drove to sun studio when we decided to stop here for a bite. Holy cow! it was so good. our party of four ordered a filled truthahnburger with mac and cheese, grilled bun with fries, smashed paprika with roasted green tomatoes, smoked brooms and maisbrot, and darkened fish with yams, green and maisbrot. it was all very good. it was all so good. it's like we stopped for a home court of edna. edna came out and spoke to us. I showed her my impeccable bowls and teller and told her this is my review. edna tells us she just finished a coconut cream cake. we have the first disc of the day. the four of us have eaten every bite. it was after lunch and she stayed and talked to us for 20 minutes. tell us about the cooking of the recipes of her mother and the recipes of the grandmother. it is a part of a trip we will like to remember.
This is a special fund while they are looking for a seafood restaurant! a place, friendly service. her main dish is the turkey or angus stuffed burger! try it, they will thank me later!
Tried the first time on the other day and what sweet friendly women they have there. could have been hanging around with them all day. I ordered the single angus burger and fry and could not be happier. fresh and tasty with seasonal steak frits. I'm back in a definitive way. I need top samples of the smashed black chops. the soul food section looks fantastic.
This place is definitely something, in a good way. The burgers were amazing! Had the angus one with everything (except jalapeños) with cabbage... it was really good. Everything looks homemade, is quite cozy... now, the whole meal was an experience for sure, first there was this guy playing the guitar and behind the counter there’s a bunch of paper (looks like an office back there)... the service was truly slow (the server apologized in several opportunities, but tbh it didn’t matter, I was fine with that) but the food was so totally worth it!. Definitely recommended. And finally but not least, the price!! Omg!! So cheap... it was $10 for a stuff burger with one side. Wow
