I ordered the lemonade and fry chicken dinner with mac and candid yams. I was stuffedddd. The fry chicken was three pieces 2 wings and breast or 4 wings. I chose 2 wings and breast. Portion was great. Chicken was juicy and still hot after driving 45 minutes back to my hotel. So happy I found this place. I was sad that they didn't offer dine in because they were understaffed, and it showed.

Food was good. Candied yams were sweet and delicious. Meatloaf didn’t taste like my mommas or even crackhead barrel but they gave larger portions than the aforementioned places. Maybe the end piece would have been better. Cake was delicious. They forgot to add okra to the black eye peas but it was pretty good alone. My only gripe was the cornbread was crunchy but all I needed to do was sprinkle a little water on it and microwave it. Perhaps they will get better at holding the cornbread so that it don’t get crunchy but I mixed it with the yam sauce. I plan to try something else other than meatloaf because it is definitely home style cooking! Great atmosphere and good food you can’t beat it!!!

Service is very slow, even ordering. They had their children at work with them, which I wouldn’t mind if they weren’t seated right behind the register and playing. Food took forever to come and it wasn’t even that crowded when I ordered.

I had stop eating at southern hands cause the food sucks so bad ,so yesterday I decided to give them another chance bad mistake mac cheese had no taste at all like they use water instead of milk, Popeye Mac cheese taste better than yall,meatloaf full of oil i can go on and on the only thing was good the cornbread please fix cause yall food use to be the best soul food place .yall need better cooks in the kitchen
