I suggested we share an appetizer, so I ordered the $9 Hummus Y'All, which made Jamie chuckle at my attempt at a southern accent. Thankfully, the warm, fresh hummus was delicious enough to make up for my slip. It came with toasted pita wedges, carrot sticks, and cucumber slices. For his main dish, Jamie chose the $13 Jillbilly Salad, a generous bowl filled with arugula, green olives, marinated tomatoes, red onions, avocado, feta cheese, pecans, and spring mix topped with grilled chicken. The freshness of the ingredients was noticeable, as the owners reportedly grow their own produce nearby. I wanted something a little heartier—perhaps influenced by the Elvis vibes—so I opted for the $12 Harvest Wrap. It was a delightful combination of hummus, a variety of beans, spinach, tomatoes, rice, lettuce, mozzarella, avocado, and sautéed mushrooms all wrapped in a spinach tortilla and grilled to perfection. It included a side, so I chose the fruit medley, a refreshing mix of berries and grapes soaked in a simple syrup. Both of our meals were tasty, and we felt satisfied. After eating, we had some time to browse the local goods and food items displayed on the shelves before returning to Sun Studio. I'm glad we discovered this spot; it’s nice to know there’s more to Memphis than just ribs. FOOD: 4 stars – a great balance of healthful and hearty AMBIANCE: 4 stars – a spacious, funky atmosphere with plenty of room SERVICE: 3.5 stars – generally attentive TOTAL: 4 stars – clang, clang, clang went the Trolley!
This is my favorite restaurant! I have never been disappointed during my visits. I really enjoy their chimichanga, especially on Taco Tuesday—it’s packed with meat and has a delicious cheese sauce on top. The tomato basil soup is rich and flavorful, and I also love their creamed spinach. Their taco salad, also available on Taco Tuesday, is fantastic with plenty of toppings and meat, plus it comes with two sides. I found the black bean salad to be quite good as well; I like to add it on top of my taco salad. If you’re looking for great ice, this place has that too!
DOUBLE DOWN ON THE IVY AT WRIGLEY FOR A HOME RUN! This restaurant truly redefines freshness. I had lunch here with some colleagues before a meeting at the FedEx headquarters, and I must say, the grilled chicken hoagie was AMAZING! It featured perfectly grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, provolone cheese, and basil mayo, all served on a hoagie bun. It was excellent! I also enjoyed a side salad with bleu cheese dressing, which was delicious. The service was fast and friendly, as always. I absolutely love this place!
I really enjoyed the pizza and selection of local brews at Trolley Stop. My main concern has always been parking. If you manage to find a spot directly behind the restaurant, consider yourself fortunate. Otherwise, it's a bit of a gamble with towing signs in the private lots nearby. On a positive note, they also offer a variety of local food and crafts for sale in the dining area.
What a charming and distinctive restaurant! Thank you, Yelp, for helping us discover this gem. Following your parking tips, we were lucky to find a spot in the back lot. We arrived about half an hour before closing, and our waitress was delightful! When I asked for her favorite dish, she recommended the chicken salad, so I decided to try it. Oh my goodness, it was incredible! My husband ordered the pepperoni pizza and he absolutely enjoyed it! This place is definitely a must-visit if you’re in the Medical District of Memphis!
