They also have a larger menu, and again the food is OK but the total experience (service, cleanliness, ambiance would need to be great to make it worth going to. I have been 2-3 times but not in a couple of years. The last time I went, a sour little brat (a teen, no doubt family of the owner was the hostess (maybe waitress too. The restaurant was to close at 10 pm, and I arrived at 8:15 approximately. I politely requested a table for 2, and she replied with a scowl and told me, clearly irritated by my presence, that they would be closing in like an hour. There was not a bit of courtesy or warmth about her...by her face and her tone she was daring me to accept a table and eat there. It takes much less than an hour for 2 people to be done, but this was how she chose to greet me. There was 1 or 2 other diners in the whole restaurant. Needless to say, I could see it would be a miserable dining experience, so I simply left. And I am extremely patient and forgiving when it comes to personalities and cannot remember another time when I left like this because of a worker 's attitude. If they are that desperate not to have my business, I will go somewhere else. In my previous visits the service was not this rude but not friendly either. If you don 't believe me, read other reviews regarding that lovely little ice queen. Two stars instead of one just because the food is OK.
Food is okay at best. But the service is what did it for me. They brought me the wrong soup and when I pointed it out, the daughter of the owner (her dad) brought him out and he just stared at me for five seconds with dead eyes. No words, and then gave me my soup without a bag. Which I then had to ask for. And again, if the food was good, I might give 2 stars and overlook that.
The wontons were burnt, When I took him back they told me that's the only way they could make sure the meat was cooked. Have had enough wontons to know that wasn't true. I came back, thought I'd give them another chance and the chicken wings were burnt too. They are frying with old oil.
I had the Thai fried rice and my fiancé had the chow mei fun, both were delicious! Portion sizes were great and the food is a good price. The man who works at the counter was very nice. Definitely will be back again!
My lord Jesus, this food was so wonderful!! The cream cheese wonton and dipping sauce were amazing and this fried rice was even better.
