Ward's Fast Food - Mendenhall

I ordered takeout and got a chicken sandwich combo, but when I got home, I found I'd received a catfish sandwich combo instead. The fries were also cold. I tried calling the restaurant, but all I got was a fax machine. I'm really disappointed.

I’m really disappointed and honestly don't know where to start. The restaurant looks nice from the outside, but my experience inside was quite different. I hate to say this, but the woman at the counter appeared unkempt—her hair looked unwashed, and while she was ringing us up, she was picking at her skin and leaving bits on the floor. It was really off-putting. If we had seen her go into the kitchen, we would have definitely left, but since she didn’t, we decided to stay and took our food. Unfortunately, my daughter's burger was completely wrong, and I ordered the single chili burger, which was not good at all. I've never written such a negative review before. While it might be a favorite among locals, my overall experience was quite unpleasant. Perhaps it’s just an off day, but I wanted to share this so that other travelers like us are informed.

The manager should refrain from taking personal calls during work hours. If she did, perhaps there wouldn't be issues like overcharging or giving the wrong order, and the soda machines wouldn't just dispense soda water, among other things.

The location is quite good, and the service is generally prompt and efficient. I've never had an incorrect order or been disappointed with the quality of the food. Thank you!

When I lived in Mississippi, I really enjoyed dining at Ward's. Every now and then, I stop by whenever I'm back in the area. I'm a big fan of their Big One Chili Burger and the Ward's Quarter. I would give them a better rating, but this time I brought a relative with me and we went through the drive-thru. After pulling away, I noticed that while my fries were hot, my burger was cold! I was very disappointed!
