We (family of 4 children 14 and 16) stayed in our campervan around Argentina and stayed here for the night. So we went in very boring to this small simple and cozy restaurant. We were completely stuffed. The Trucha was excellent. From the scams to the main... we thought it was a bit of trout on the whole menu, but we loved it... the kids too. Would recommend the whole experience. Good local service and beautiful wines.
Often I don't write restaurant reviews, as the assumption is the bed breakfast or micro hotel where we stay, can recommend a high-quality meal. Cuyam-Co Truchas, however, is so unique, and the food is so fresh and tasty (the trout literally swim in the hatery shortly before they are cooked), that Cuyam-Co Truchas deserves an assessment. The meal was a highlight of our 10-day trip to Mendoza, Malargue, San Rafael, Potrerillos, et al. The owner, Cesar Roman Gatica, has a technical degree in Aquiculture. He created a trout farm, condemned by Malarque. In addition to the hat, it has a restaurant which is only open upon reservation. There is no menu, it is fixed price, bring cash! How fresh is the fish? He and his employees literally catch the trout live, intestines and cook it, everything within a few minutes. The whole meal is trout based including trout pate, smoked trout, trout mouse, trout rosti, trout empanadas and baked trout. We paired the meal with an Argentinean Jean Rivier Chenin Blanc, a crisp white wine – an incredible meal. There was also a selection of several desserts with the meal that were all delicious. We thought the owner of the cabins where we stay made reservations for us; Cesar, however, has no answer machine on its line of land; When we showed up, he had no reservation, but opened his restaurant for our party of three. Although tipping is not really part of Argentine culture, we gave Cesar a healthy tip for a) us and b) for the meal! Bottom line if you're near Malarque, it's worth the extra kilometers / miles for the fresh trout experience!

Cada año en donde cumplo mi religiosa temporada esquí en las leñas, en mi día de descanso paso por Malargue a almorzar al criadero. No defrauda. Excelente calidad.Cabe destacar que retiran las truchas de la pileta de cría al plato. Más fresco difícil. El dueño no es un improvisado en el tema.
