This place was so incredible, we drove twice during our trip to Mendoza! They give you huuuge portions of delicious Peruvian dishes. I had the Arroz Chaufa with Pollo and my friend tried both the Arroz Chaufe Especial and some other seafood dish....The spicy sauce she brought with the bread was fabulous. Many menu and wine options. We had wine, two dishes and dessert for only 420 pesos last night. A nice, cheap break from all the Argentine meat. A must in Mendoza!
I had an incredible meal at Sabrosura during my week-long stay in Mendoza. The beef with papas fritas (definitely had a good hit of ginger) and rice was really good and the desserts were fantastic! Definitely looking forward to coming back! This place was packed...when I arrived (on a Wednesday at around 10:00pm), so I'd recommend reservations if possible. Also, if you've never had a traditional Peruvian pisco sour (as opposed to the Chilean version), they're so much better! They've got a light layer of foamy egg white (sounds strange, but it's delicious) on the top. All of the cocktails were amazing!
We are tired of the typical Argentine offerings of steak/pizza/pasta, so went to Sabrosura. The food was fantastic, the service was fast and attentive, the atmosphere is that of a nice restaurant without nice restaurant prices. We plan to go back there again in our...4 days in Mendoza. They did not have the classic ceviche, which we wanted to try, but we tried what was essentially a traditional Peruvian sampler plate (can't remember the name, it was the last main course on the menu) and a traditional Peruvian dessert with limone in the name. Highly recommend this place. Just be aware that they do not accept credit cards.
We were two people at noon and ordered three dishes that seduce us. A ceviche, a shrimp soup and a generous order of the octopus rings No wines not beer, only pure water. Food tastes great. The ambience is very beautiful and typical. Only on the expensive side compared to other options you can find in Mendoza. In any case
