We usually enjoy dining at this restaurant, but our experience with takeout this time was terrible. The food was cold, old, and not enjoyable. The Orange Peel Chicken was mushy with a strange texture, the prawns smelled bad and had to be thrown away, the Chinese Chicken Salad was dry and overly salty, the pot stickers were too doughy, and the Chow Mein was dry and chewy. Overall, our order was disappointing and left us feeling slightly sick. We may not be ordering takeout from this place again.
I thoroughly enjoyed everything I ordered! I highly recommend trying out this restaurant if you're in the mood for dim sum.
Avoid visiting this restaurant on Sundays as it tends to be busy. They offer plenty of parking in the back, with a larger lot available compared to their main parking area. The food was served promptly and everything was satisfying. I was particularly impressed by the radian cake and the taro rolls had a great texture. The only downside was the cub, as the texture was good but the taste was lacking.
You must try the pan-fried XO daikon cake and the fried duck at this restaurant! The portion sizes are above average. I recommend not ordering the steamed chicken or any of the bread dishes. The other Dim Sum dishes we tried were delicious. Overall, I would give the food a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. The service, however, was disappointing and I would only give it 1 star.
