Caribou Coffee - Menomonie

Closes 7pm. I go in at 5:15pm. Order a coffee. “Oh we don’t have any coffee. We aren’t brewing any coffee right now.”Lol okay. Yeah not a great “coffee” shop experience for me.

This little coffee shop is slightly hard to find, so lots of people are unaware it even exists! Consequently, it's rarely busy and you hardly ever need to wait more than a moment when placing your order. The inside is unusually well decorated for a coffee shop, very cozy, and absolutely spotless.The coffee is excellent, but they also have a wide selection of breakfast sandwiches. The staff are always friendly and smiling.

Worst Caribou we have ever been to. We love Caribou Coffee and go to them often. One big reason is because they are THE most consistent chain in the business. This one is terrible. I worked for Caribou for about a year and I know how they are trained and the standard of dress code, work ethic and structure. It’s exacting and that’s why they are sooo good and consistent. I can’t say it enough, this one was terrible. Iced Carmel High rise was quite tasteless. No espresso taste; barely caramel tasting. Hot Americano with “ a good amount of” heavy cream was ordered and it tastes like it has just milk in it. One barista was in her (obviously old warn out) sport bar with a tank over it with huge arm holes not professional at all. The person filling the bean hoppers of the espresso machines used the same bag to fill all the hoppers. Does this store not serve decaf espresso drinks? Large woke message on the chalkboard with no room for patrons to write anything. Obvious woke messages on the barista bios. To my knowledge Caribou is not a woke company, but it was obvious that this one is pushing an agenda. When I go to a coffe shop we just want great coffee which we did not get and we don’t want to be preached to which we did get.

Being from Minnesota and going to college in Menomonie I did not expect this Caribou to be this great, I was amazed at the attentive and friendly service at this location, and the beverages here taste just as good if not sometimes much better than the Twin Cities Caribou locations. Especially the Caramel High-Rise Cooler I had which tasted great, the entire cup was perfectly filled too as some other locations leave the 1/3rd of the cup just with whip, no this location is very generous with the portion size. Finally, this place makes me feel like I am near home, and it is not very crowded either. Overall, probably the best Caribou location I have been to in a long time.

Service was fantastic and the staff was friendly. Great coffee and sandwiches.
