Corduroy's Pizza - Mentor

I really enjoy the spaghetti and meatball dinners with garlic bread, and the wings are quite good too, although I’m not thrilled about the per-pound pricing. However, I had a frustrating experience recently. I ordered a spaghetti and meatball dinner along with a side of garlic bread at 7 PM and was given a wait time of 45-50 minutes. When I arrived at 7:49, they hadn't even started cooking my order. Naturally, I was upset, but I remained respectful and didn’t raise my voice. A girl came out from the back and claimed the staff member I spoke to had just arrived, which was clearly not true since they close at 8 PM. This isn’t the first time this has happened to me; I've been told multiple times that my food would be ready at a certain time, only to find it wasn’t. Unfortunately, this place has declined since I moved here in 2008, especially after the new ownership took over. It’s disappointing that the owner was in the back without explaining the situation and left it to a young employee to handle the issue. I’ve decided that I’m finished with this restaurant.

The pizza crust was overcooked and difficult to chew, making it hard to enjoy. The young man working there seemed confused about the difference between whole chicken wings and wing dings. He repeatedly reminded me that he could process my payment, even though I wasn't trying to leave without paying—I just had no food yet. Perhaps I looked a bit uncertain? I also had to inquire whether there was an extra charge for using my credit card, to which I was told yes. To avoid any fees, I decided to pay in cash. Overall, the inside of the restaurant did not meet my expectations and was not a pleasant environment for me.

I had an excellent experience at this local pizzeria! The staff was friendly as soon as I walked in, and the pizza was truly delicious. It's a lovely local spot that serves great pizza.

Visited from out of town on our trip to Headlands Beach. Staff were super friendly and the food was very good! We even got a free bag of onion rings after one of the workers made too many. Would definitely recommend the Ranch pizza and the Alfredo pizza!
