Costco Food Court - Merced

On October 28, 2023, I had an unpleasant experience with Alyssa, who was offering samples in the frozen food section. I've never encountered rudeness at this Costco before, but unfortunately, that changed today.

I had a wonderful experience at this Costco! The service was friendly, and I usually find parking to be easy. The store is clean and well-organized, and the greeters are very welcoming. They have a great selection of products at really good prices. The only item I've noticed priced higher here is the grass-fed organic ground beef, which is consistently $5 cheaper at the Fresno location where I also shop frequently. I found it amusing that I was asked for my ID at the self-service checkout, even after scanning my membership card, but it wasn't a big deal. I definitely plan to return to this store soon!

I visited customer service to pay for my membership and unfortunately encountered racial discrimination from Linda, an older white woman.

I got food poisoning from this Costco pizza worst Costco pizza I’ve had. The crust was flat I should have known it wasn’t fully cooked. Regardless customer service really sucked seems like the work ethic is really bad there they try to discourage you from ordering stating that there is a 45 min wait but when you get there earlier your order is ready and just sitting there. I’m not sure what is going on maybe short staffed? Anyways thanks for making me sick costco and making me miss 2 days of work.

Both the door staff and the employees working the food court were rude, and made me feel like I was inconveniencing them.
