The Beach Hotel - MEREWETHER

They make renovations, so we sat through lunch with super loud holes. was hard to have a conversation on our own table, I mentioned it on the waitress who just shrunk. they may hold the noise during 12 o'clock 2 o'clock. if the dining room is full. Eating was nothing special, but nothing great. pasta was lukewarm when it arrived. a bit overpriced. beautiful setting.

I had lunch with a group of friends today at this restaurant. The food was cold and the menu was mediocre. The prices were high for what was on offer. Hopefully, after the renovations are completed, they will also upgrade their chefs. The ambiance was decent and the location was interesting.

I appreciate the sign by the food register asking customers to be kind to the staff. However, I had to ask the same of the staff as we encountered rude and unhelpful workers who seemed overwhelmed. The portion sizes were small and took a long time to arrive at our table. I was optimistic that with new ownership, this pub could improve, but unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be the case.

I ordered a pizza from this restaurant. Initially, they did not honor my selection from their online menu, explaining that the menu had been updated. I was disappointed to learn that the prawn and pancetta option had been replaced with prawn and chorizo. The chef offered to include pancetta for an additional charge, so I ultimately decided to stick with the pancetta pizza. However, I was shocked to find that there was not enough meat on each slice.

Was able to enter the premesis on Friday night but went back on Saturday night with a group of friends 7 large security guards had to come and ‘assess’ us prior to entering. After checking our ID’s and quizzing us how many beverages we...consumed, where we were staying attacking our answers they told us that we were unable to enter. I would not recommend coming here if you have consumed anymore than 5 drinks from 2pm-10pm.
