Mi Viejo Molino Cafe - Mérida

Was walking down Calle and thought I’d have breakfast. The waiter was very adept at upselling, little things like would you like avocado, no extra price mentioned! I had huevos motuleños and specifically asked if it had plátano frito...I was told it did. The...beans were cold, like straight from the refrigerator. The rest of the dish barely warm. Eggs fried hard. No plátano frito. Remarkably tasteless sauce. I had to ask for both salt and salsa picante.

For lunch, had to keep asking to have refreshments refilled, meals were hot were barely warm, the taste was fine, but service was not, will not return for a few months maybe they wil improve.

I went with a friend named Roman to the Plaza Dorada one and it had a great breakfast of Huevos Divorciados and a fine french toast as well. Their pasta with crispy chicken strips with buffalo sauce is unusual but I thought it satisfying on...Thursdays. They have specials for each day of the week where you get the dish for a reduced price. I don't like that they offer only coffee mate for the coffee unless you ask for milk. Otherwise a great meal for a reasonable price. It beat standing in line for a VIPs meal for half an hour.

Best huevos motuleños good coffe. Location is near Paseo de Montejo. They have more locations. Also good bread

Great place to go for lunch....food is average and the service as well. There dinners are just ok. This is a place for mid day with friends
