Umami El Quinto Sabor Merida

This was a dissapointing lunch. Ordered 6 different tapas,2 of which where obviously frozen originally. They fried them but they were still cold inside. Service not good either. Not worth eating there.

We chose Umami because of the good reviews but, surprisingly, food was mediocre and service was bad.

The owner, Jaime, has an excellent knowledge of food and local wines. He is from Merida and his family knows the restaurant business. Our favorite tapa was the berenjenas. We also enjoyed the salmorejo, croquettes and umami atún. Then, we couldn’t resist the postre of tiramisu, and another of lava cake. It was all delicious.

A quiet place, good attention and good food. daily menu of 14 €, we are looking for you to walk away from the main street where there are many restaurants attested to people and very battle. This is a small but great option

To see it takes so long that you cool your food, many bad tables served, people have risen without asking. The lids are good, but you're desperate.
