Nice folks. Great pizza. Call ahead a few hours. My favorite is the straight up cheese pie.
Been coming here about 8 years whenever I visit friends in Meriden. It's the go-to pizza/food choice. Make sure you call hours in advance to schedule your pickup time. The pizza is delicious and consistently good. My favorites are shrimps casino and bacon&onion. Plain cheese is excellent too. Semi-sweet tomato sauce.
BE WARNED: This place is super popular and you may have to wait 2-3+ hours before your order is ready if you’re ordering on the weekend. We ordered before 5pm and were able to pick the pizzas up at around 730pm. A large cheese was $20, a 1 topping small was $15. The total was just about $40 with a tip so pretty much standard fare for a pizza place of this recognition. I think I messed up by ordering my pizzas well done. I’m so used to ordering that way cause so many places undercook their pizza that I just do it out of habit. That being said, this is a little hole in the wall place, that’s less than a mile from a buddy of mine’s house. The pizza is really crispy, the guys that work there are super nice and they have an incredible sauce, which is what I tasted the most. Definitely gotta go back to adjust my score, not going to order it well done and I’m going to get extra cheese next time. It’s definitely the best pizza I’ve had in the Meriden area, that’s for sure. Vegetarian options: Pizza is vegetarian and they have a lot of vegetable options for toppings. Parking: If there’s more than like 3 people picking up pies, it might be hard to find a place to park.
This place completely lives up to the hype.. unbelievable pizza, great staff. The pepperoni and tomato pie were out of this world. Meatball pie was solid just a little burnt but hey.. it’s a one man operation. The owner is the only person making the pies, it’s quite impressive. The craft, the process, the coal on the floor, it all makes this pizza absolutely spectacular. I will be back.
