Slater's 50/50 - Meridian Station

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Definitely a fun place to grab a bite. However the service was so incredibly slow. We came on a Saturday afternoon and half the restaurant was empty, we waited 15 min for water and menus. The server we had was not there, he was completely out of it. He walked past us multiple times and didn’t check in once. There wasn’t anyone at the host stand either so we had to keep going back to the bartender for help and service. After waiting 30min to order food we waited another 40 minutes for food to come out. The food was great but then no one checked in on us and it was another 20 mins of waiting for the check and to go boxes. The women’s restroom was also completely out of toilet paper, tissues and paper towels. We thought coming here would be good for a decently quick bite to eat but in total we spent almost two hours here. The food is also kinda pricey 18-20$ for sandwiches/ burgers so expect to pay close to 100$ for dinner and drinks for 2. Overall, the food is good but pricey, the atmosphere is nice but the service just wasn’t it that day.

1 Let's not act like those who do not consume animal protein are not judgmental. They are. We all know it.2 We all know that restaurants have to turn a profit and many restaurants do that by passing the food cost on to the customer.That said, as someone who does not eat red meat, I have beef with the $6 price INCREASE for SUBSTITUTING to a vegetarian burger patty.It is unacceptable to pay $25 for a vegetarian burger that would cost $19 if I ate red meat.It's very much giving those who do not consume beef are charged EXTRA for not consuming beef.Anyways, the atmosphere was nice and the service was good.But, as someone who does not consume red meat, Slater's 50/50 ain't it Vegetarian options: Very limited and more expensive than if you ate meat .There is a $6 price increase to make your burger vegetarian.

You better be hungry before you come here! The food was very fulfilling, the Nashville hot chicken was so good omg! I could another one if I wasn’t full. The milkshake was also amazing.

First time here and we’ll definitely be back! The wings are worth every penny, and the burgers, sides, and milkshakes are big enough to share. We shared the special and it was so good it’s hard to believe it was a burger! The flavors all complimented each other perfectly. Hats off to the chef! Our service was refreshingly top notch. Seems it’s so hard to get quality service these days (server burn out? entitlement? Idk what the deal is! but our server was the right amount of engaged, energetic and suggestive. Can’t wait to return for brunch!
