Can't believe some of the reviews on here. Been going to this restaurant for many years and it is a cracker. Great personal service from the host and ample portions. Been here with my Malaysian brother in law and he is a huge fan. Very authentic home cooked food.

What a little treasure! We read a couple of negative reviews on this restaurant, thankfully my husband I ignored them. The service was friendly prompt! The food was absolutely delicious. We had an entree of chicken satay, the satay is something special. For main we shared the ginger chicken with shallots which was just exquisite. We also had some roti which was hands down the best roti we have ever had. The restaurant is tucked away down a little lane way could be easily missed. Definitely recommend Bungaraya Satay House!!!!!

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious lunch on Saturday 11/6/22 in this simple and accessible venue in Merimbula. The food was authentic, very fresh, tasty and the service was also excellent.

Dined twice here during weekend away. The food was beautiful, especially the signature dish satay sauce, complex, just the right spicy, leaving a long-lasting array of flavours for ages afterwards. Will definitely be looking for this hidden away gem at our next visit. Only complaint is that we could not take the sauce as take away.
