Try to the Rosti, you won't regret it. It's great to have this awesome cafe within walking distance of home. Just what Merrimac needed.
Great food (French Melt yum) and great prices for the quality and deliciousness. Good atmosphere. Lots of tables inside and plenty outdoor seating. For the avid readers, they even have 'a give a book, take a book ' program running in the back. They 're just missing a comfy chair(s) to read in. Owned by a couple French guys, the service is always friendly and on point. I 've had breakfast and lunch there and thoroughly enjoyed both. Skip the nearby Maccas and enjoy a quality coffee and a great meal.
This is exactly what Merrimac needed....a quality cafe to enjoy a quiet coffee delicious breakky or lunch. Great set up decor with a large deck to relax dine. French owner very passionate offers great customer service. Plus plenty of enticing French homemade pastries.
Tucked away in Merrimac, lovely atmosphere and decor, and great service. Well priced and a menu full of tempting options. We came for breakfast and had the Provençal eggs and the quesadilla, both original and delicious. Coffee was delicious, topped with real chocolate shavings. The coconut milkshake was the best we've had and we look forward to trying the other flavours next time. Highly recommended!
Dining as a group of four at Counter Eatery, we’ve been able to taste each dish, each of us lobbying for our favourite. In fact, all our meals have been outstanding: Wood-smoked salmon accompanied by batons of finely grated potato – the best rosti we’ve ever eaten, large Field mushrooms served on house brioche with handmade goat labna plus a herb and hand-peeled tomato salad, a Healthy Start, as well as the most delicious French toast we’ve tasted, served alongside Blackboard coffee.
