A & W Drive In Restaurant - Merritt

This is a great place for a fast burger as we discovered when we recently travel on the Coquihalla to Vancouver. Fast and friendly service. Good hot burgers and pommes.

We entered the take-out area and ordered Teenburgers and fries. The food was served hot and the burgers were especially delicious, possibly with a brown sauce. We were very pleased with the food and the friendly service.

"I was traveling back home during Covid restrictions and decided to stop here for lunch. It was a great choice as we were able to take our food to go and enjoy it in the car. The service, food, and prices were all very good."

The service was slow and it seemed like the staff were inexperienced. However, the food was good, but that was the only highlight.

A W is one of my favourite fast food places. Sadly, this was one of the worst A Ws I have ever been to. I came in at noon to grab a quick lunch. The place was busy, however, the term “fast” food did not apply. It...took 15 minutes from the time I entered the restaurant until I received my meal. When I finally got the food, the burger fries were barely warm and the pop was flat. I think it would have been faster to use the drive thru, then park and bring the food back inside to eat. Tables were dirty, the washroom was a total mess. The try return area was overflowing with trays and empty glasses. Will avoid this A W in future.
