Ihop - Mesa

The service was a bit slow, but I understand they were very busy. My wife ordered the waffle comb, and I went with the smoker comb. She had coffee while I opted for water. Our total came to around $32-$33, which I found a bit pricey, but I suppose that's common these days. As for the food quality, it was just average. I was disappointed with the pancakes, and my wife felt the same way about her waffle. I guess I expected more from a place that has pancakes in its name.

We experienced quick and friendly service during our visit. The man who seated us also served our table and did an outstanding job—his name was Christ. The food was generally excellent, although the pancakes were a disappointment; they were tough to cut with butter knives and lacked fluffiness. However, the burger was fantastic. The restaurant is child-friendly, with staff that were very accommodating to kids. As for parking, there were plenty of spaces available, some of which were shaded.

The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived. We waited for 10 minutes before someone finally attended to us, and when she did, she was quite rude. There were several staff members who seemed eager for us to sit down, with more people waiting in line. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing and lacking in flavor. Our server, however, was excellent and even expressed his frustration with the kitchen. It was clear that there was a general lack of effort from most employees, except for our server, who was attentive and tried to make the best of the situation. Overall, it felt chaotic, especially considering the restaurant was empty. It's hard to understand how the kitchen could mess up service under those circumstances. Finding good help these days is certainly a challenge.

Everyone should have a james in his facility. he was the most amazing waiter, depending on the fact that we were all well kept on the table, always had great attitude with us.

Had Sunday breakfast. The service was polite and friendly. The waffle came with a small ball of cold butter on it. The butter never did melt because the waffle wasn't hot enough to do that. The wife's requested crisp hash browns came snow white. This place offered nice staff and good ambience and so-so food. Normally we would ask for the issues to be corrected, but had we, the rest of the meal would have been undesirable.
