Mellow Mushroom Mesa

Yesterday night, my boyfriend and I unfortunately went to Mellow Mushroom for dinner. While ordering some of their lemonades, we discovered baby roaches in our drinks, which made the experience extremely unpleasant. Feeling nauseous, we promptly cancelled our food order.

I had a great experience at Mellow Mushroom! The food was delicious as usual. My favorite location is off of Ray and 48th St, which used to be a brewery before it was bought. It still has a good atmosphere. They offer a gluten-free crust for their pizzas, which was awesome. Just be aware that it is only available for personal pizzas. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible with ramps on the sidewalks and in the parking lot. Overall, I love Mellow Mushroom!

Shame, really. I've had a lot of good experiences here, nothing so unfortunate to write a review about...Went in with my bf after a movie to have some great pizza and a drink. Meatballs were delicious, and the first round drinks tasted fine. Pizza came out and it was, at best, kinda warm. Asked the bartender if we could get it warmed up. Came back about 6-7min later and it definitely got warmer! But, surely didn't feel like the usual fresh hot pie I've had before. Pizza tasted amazing, just not hot.Ordered a Lemon Submarine during dinner and omg it was overpoured. My bf can drink (Irishman) and he shuddered at the first sip he took. Not like the well mixed drinks we previously had.Oh, and I think the worst of it all, is that we didn't know there was reverse happy hour, nor the bartender's name, until some pretty ladies with dark hair sat down a few seats away from us where they got the entire speal. Just saying, it kinda feels bad to watch others get better service.This was an unfortunate fluke.

Called in a door dash order and my sauce wasn’t included. I tried to call and ask to bring all the food back to have it made fresh so I could eat hot food with my family. Andrew said no that doesn’t make sense it’s not our fault we made this food incorrectly. Andrew the manager then said things happens sometimes and you have to deal with it. I’m supposed to drive 30 mins round trip to complete the order that was supposed to be on time and it’s my fault. Andrew the manager said it’s not a big deal and NO REFUND!

I met friends there for the trivia night which happens every Thursday. The questions are not outlandish but they're not easy either so there's some real competition. There was 14 groups of players. It was a fun night. I had a beer and a white pizza. I don't know how much it was because one of the people at the table treated me. It was a decent pizza. I really like the crust!It's loud! You can hear the street noise from inside. WHY would anyone put a patio on the west side of a building here in the desert is beyond me!!
