The atmosphere was cozy and the service was outstanding. Both the Ceviche and Pollo were exceptional. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic dining experience.
I was invited by some friends to try out this restaurant. It is a family-owned business that specializes in Peruvian cuisine. I enjoy supporting local establishments and trying new dishes, so I was excited to give it a try. We ordered a variety of dishes to taste and share among ourselves. My favorites were the Yuca Fries, Papa A La Huancaina, and Pollito A La Brasa. The Yuca Fries were especially delicious and addicting. As a fan of plantains from my time in Central America, I couldn't resist ordering a plate of those as well. We also tried the Ceviche De Pescado and a side of rice, both of which were excellent. The service was top-notch, with our server providing detailed explanations of each dish. We even had the opportunity to chat with the owner, who shared a couple of stories about the restaurant's history.
Great food at a good price. The staff was very friendly as well. If you haven't tried Peruvian food, I highly recommend it.
On November 13, 2022, I finally made it to Taste of Peru, despite living a long life since 1960. We visited the restaurant on a Sunday, so the drive was easy. The restaurant is clean, family-friendly, and the staff was fantastic. While the menu was somewhat limited, there were still plenty of options to choose from. We ordered a variety of dishes and were pleased with everything we tried. The Yuca Dorada with Huancaina sauce appetizer was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I enjoyed the Chaufa Trio, a fried rice dish with chicken, beef, and shrimp, which was well-seasoned and the meat was tender. The Pollo a la Brasa, jasmine rice, and plantains were also delicious, with the chicken remaining moist even the next day. The papa's rellana was excellent. For dessert, we had Tres Leches cake and Lucuma ice cream. The cake was good, although not as moist as expected, but the ice cream stole the show with its soft serve texture and creamy flavor. The trip from the west valley was worth it, and I am looking forward to returning.
Very disappointed! My wife and I have been very good customers of this restaurant, and have been bringing friends and family to dine, since we brag about the taste and quality of the Peruvian cuisine. To our embarrassment, we brought a party of friends to enjoy what we told them they were missing. To our great surprised, the quality and quantity we were used to enjoy was missing. It was so bad, we had to apologized to our guests and confess to our enbarrasment. awe are so upset, we will not return to this restaurant again!!! Most of the dishes lacked taste, and it appeared that the food was not cooked fresh, instead it was apparent that it was reheated from previous days, and the portions were smaller than usual.
