The Trough - Mesa

I walked in and sat at the bar, but the bartender passed by me four times without acknowledging me. They didn’t even glance my way or say a word before disappearing again. After about ten minutes of just sitting there, watching the time on my phone, I decided to leave.

We didn't have any food during our visit, but it was a wonderful spot to relax and spend time with our family and friends.

My husband wanted a mushroom Swiss burger, but they were out of Swiss cheese. I ordered the sourdough burger, which was advertised as having Parmesan-crusted bread, but it turned out to be just toasted sourdough. The burger itself tasted a bit off, like it was past its prime. On the bright side, the fries were hot and fresh!

Food, especially the fries, was about the best I've had in the immediate area. The regular barstaff was OK, but didn't know how to make a descent Kamakazi.

Was just not happy with my experience here. When you order your breakfast and ask for dry toast with peanut butter on the side. They don’t have peanut butter so I say jelly would be fine. NO JELLY! A grocery store is real close. Go buy some and put it in cups! My meal took a 1/2 hour and they actually found some jelly! Probably won’t be going back.
