Their website now states they will only be catering to corporate events and special occasions. I had considered trying the winery that owns the restaurant, but now I've lost interest. It was a bit disappointing. There are so many other fantastic restaurants out there to explore. I can't help but wonder if this place will become just another historic relic like many others around here. I think I'll stick to hanging out at 28 instead.
There is so much to say.... Sorry no pictures of food, we ate it all..without stopping for any length of time. We both had the huevos rancheros red sauce and potatoes. You have a choice of beans or potatoes with your brunch. The potatoes were perfect with a slight crisp. The red sauce was delicious heat. Not too hot yet you knew it was there. The chips and salsa was flavorful with hatch chilies. All in all a pleasant experience we will repeat.
We had heard this place was under new ownership and thus a place to try. The service was great, but can't say so much for the food. Menu is limited and so we tried enchiladas. The tortillas were so tough we had to use a knife to cut them. The chicken on them looked like it came out of a can. Cheese was not even melted it was just a pile thrown on top. We really had high hopes for this place, but I must say there are far better places In Mesillia.
Great Food and Lovely Patio! Food Drinks The food was really good. We went for Brunch. Great Tacos. Delicious and full of flavors! Service Amazing service. When we arrived, we were quoted a 30 minute wait, which wasn 't an issue for us as we were able to walk around for a bit. It ended up being only 20 minutes. The hostess was lovely and very accommodating. She was busy as the restaurant was full and many people were waiting for a table, but she was still professional and amazing. Great job! Our server was friendly and welcoming. She did a wonderful job. She took the time to ask us a few questions and was able to connect with us. She took great care of us without being overwhelming. Atmosphere The patio is spectacular with the adobe looks and some greenery. Plenty of shades and some misting fans; so no worries about the heat. They also had an exceptionally talented singer. We enjoyed our experience so much!
Visited on a Saturday at noon and it was extremely hot out. They have a lovely patio with a fair amount of shade; you can't completely outrun 100+ this but it's not terrible considering the weather. It would be absolutely perfect at 80 degrees but hey, they can't control the weather. We had to go inside to the counter to order, and they brought the food out to our table when it was ready. They worked with me on substitutions, which was nice. I had a bowl with potatoes, bacon, cheese, chile, and black beans instead of eggs. It was great! We stayed outside but there was a bit of seating indoors as well. There was a musician playing on the patio when I arrived, she was just wrapping up so I'd guess if you went earlier, you might catch live music outside. I'd definitely go back on a cooler day!
