Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen - Mesquite

I brought my family to this place from Eastman Georgia and we really enjoyed each other. The food was really good and the restaurant was clean. Our server Jasmine was excellent! Child-friendly: A family-friendly location. Parking: We arrived at a weekday at 4 p.m. and we didn't fight to find a parking space near the door. Accessibility: There is wheelchair access to the door and space enough on the inside as well.

We were assigned to our table and are waiting there literally another 20 min only for someone to ask us what drinks we want, but another family sits right after us and they have help much faster than us. I think the waitress didn't help us and gave us no good service because we are Hispanic, some as I felt that she was racist, very disappointed. We're the same as we don't get here, at least the food was delicious.

Pros: Seated fast. Friendly hostess. Food was good Cons: The place is dirty. The carpet had so much trash on it. This was not in one area but the whole carpet area where I was sitting. There was a lady that came and started trying to sweet it with a broom (too much trash for that. Server was not so good. She was not friendly and she was not rude. It was just a let me get you in an out type thing. Very transactional. No small talk. No checking to see how things were or if we needed anything else. I had to flag my server down to get extra sauce, to go box and napkins (never got those , but she brought the check out about 5 minutes after my daughter and I got our food. Barely had touched our food because we were still eating the salads that were brought out right before our food. The server that had the sectional next to us served all of her tables croissants upon sitting down. They all sat down about the same time. Our server didn't even offer.

I serve was so fun and nice. He worked a long day and to wrap his night up he got me, my daughters and granddaughter. He was a complete joy and very attentive. I want to sayhis name was Jeffrey. I wished I was 100 percent sure of that. However, the food was good and the service was even better.

My husband and I haven't been here in a while. We came Sunday afternoon after church, the wait time was about 30 mins. We sat in the middle sun room, our servers Pooh and Channing were amazing. Very attentive, they made sure we had everything we needed from the start! I ordered the creamy garlic tilapia shrimp and my husband got the country fried steak and of our they're amazing honey croissants. Everything was delicious. The only downside was there were a bunch of pesky flies that kept flying over our booth. We had to keep waving them off. Overall, our experience was pleasant. We will continue to come here. Comfort food for sure!
