Martinez Restaurant - Mesquite

My wife and I really enjoyed the food, and the waitress was very attentive to our needs. For our first time, great experience. Food presentation was great as well. Very convenient for us, since our daughter goes to the school right around the corner. We will be back!

I ate at this restaurant long ago and did not find it to be all that I desired. But recently I had to go back due to a club meeting taking place there and found that the food had become much much better. The service was excellent as well and the atmosphere inside of this restaurant is very pleasant and family-centered. I suspect there is a change of management and ownership. Regardless, when it comes to eating the traditional Mexican plates, they do extremely well. I did not have the fajitas. But the tamales, rice, and beans were excellent!

I've been dining at Martinez for many, many years. They have great salsa and tortillas are made in house. Best flour tortillas around! I really like most everything I get there but if you love enchiladas with a sour cream sauce, you may want to pass on those. From what I can tell, they use just straight sour cream not a sauce.
