Slab's Bbq - Mesquite

The best BBQ in the Metroplex! Larry’s ribs are genuinely grilled over a pit, which makes all the difference. Although I’m not usually a dessert person, Landon’s banana pudding is exceptional! You can’t go wrong by visiting Slab’s. It’s a proven favorite since the early 90s. Food: 5/5!

This restaurant has a vintage charm but is in dire need of a thorough renovation. We chose to eat in the car since we were away from home, but I must say the service was outstanding, and the food was simply exceptional. I left feeling very satisfied and would definitely recommend it.

I could smell this restaurant from a mile away! It had a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. I absolutely loved the BBQ sauce. Everything was fantastic!

The food was incredible! The beef was so tender that it practically melted in my mouth, and the sausage was delicious as well. I absolutely loved the baked beans, potato salad, and banana pudding. The service was exceptional and extremely friendly. You can really tell that everything is homemade. This has definitely become my new go-to BBQ place. I highly recommend it!!!

My favorite chopped beef sandwich! I must admit, I'm a regular at this place. The chopped beef is my favorite; while the sliced beef is also delicious, I prefer the chopped version. I'm not a fan of the sausage or potato salad, but the barbecue sauce is spot on. The Loaded Tater is just perfect, and the ribs are decent. The banana pudding ranges from good to quite good. It’s a takeout-only spot, but you won’t regret giving it a try. I'd much rather take barbecue home from here than dine at any of the other places in Mesquite.
