Taqueria Corona - Metairie

I absolutely love this place! I recently moved to Baton Rouge and visited it for the first time in years. The black habanero sauce they serve at the table is fantastic. I ordered the beef taco pizza and a small burrito, and both were delicious. The cebillitas are my favorite appetizer.

I was disappointed to find that the chips and salsa cost over $4.00. I always thought this was typically offered as a complimentary snack in most Mexican restaurants. Additionally, the salsa had an overpowering cilantro flavor that wasn't to my liking.

The food is consistently outstanding, and the portion sizes are generous for the price. You can really tell that everything is made fresh. I've been coming here for years, both to the uptown location and this one. I always enjoy sharing this experience with others. It’s definitely a go-to spot for me!
