Waffle House - Metairie

I had a wonderful breakfast this morning at this restaurant. The manager, Lionel, was incredibly friendly. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, and the service provided by Alex was outstanding. A big shoutout to the chef as well!

This is not the Waffle House of the 1990s. The food has changed quite a bit. They used a toaster for the bread in the patty melt, and only one slice of cheese was used. It was definitely different. The patty wasn't very juicy, either. However, the grits were creamy and tasty. The waffles remained the same, though. The cooks were quick, and our server Brittney was extremely pleasant. I have to suggest that some customers might want to stay home and cook instead. I was shocked to see one customer loudly issuing orders directly to the cook. I can only imagine how chaotic it must be when servers are already calling out orders, and then a customer feels entitled to give instructions as well. I was truly amazed that the cooks didn’t lose their cool with her. She was certainly overstepping!

It's a Waffle House, and I had a great experience. The waitress was friendly and accommodating. I was pleasantly surprised by the coffee; it was far better than I expected and not like the usual mediocre stuff you find at most diners—or maybe I was just lucky. There was plenty of parking available at the time. Also, you can buy a coffee cup for $5.00.

Let them crisp up your hash browns. The food was hot. Fresh and came out fast to the table. Them cheese eggs were perfect and that tsisin toast was just the right crispness. Best Waffle House I've been to in a long time.

This is legit the best Waffle House I’ve ever been to. Usually go late night. Staff works so hard to keep orders moving, quicker than you’d expect. They are so friendly too. The patty melts are my go to. I’m so glad they have a touch tunes jukebox, we like to play music and it gives me joy to see everyone sing along to it! Please show them kindness they deserve it!
