Western Star Grill - Metaline

Only negative thing I can say about this place is you can never be sure when it's open.

I know it's kind of a drive, but there's always great conversations. You gotta check it out!

This is my second time at this restaurant. We called ahead to make sure they were open. When we asked if we could bring dogs and sit on the deck, we pulled up and the owner, Carol, was putting up umbrellas and a bowl of water for our dogs for us. Carol is a vivacious and gregarious individual. She sat and joked with us and shared stories about the history of her place. We ordered fish tacos and shrimp tacos and fish and chips. She also brought us chips and homemade salsa. Everything was delicious and made fresh. My sister was nicknamed One Taco by Carol and now we call her O.T. this is a great place to stop in and have a drink and something to eat when you 're on a motorcycle ride or returning from a day on the river. There 's a shuffle board table and pool table inside too. I highly recommend this place for you.

Great place great people and excellent food couldn't have been a better place to stop

Lovely spot! We came through for dinner on our first night in Metaline and then back for lunch the next day! Delicious food and wonderful small town hospitality. Owner was so kind and helpful!
