Steamed class were really good and came with plenty lemon and cocktail sauce. Oysters Rockefeller were great. Fresh and hot! Drinks and appetizers were on point as well. Really enjoyed everything we tried. Server was attentive without hovering and I loved that. Would HIGHLY recommend ??
Got sick from the scallops... Atmosphere lily white!
I highly recommend 42nd Street Oyster Bar. The food is consistently delicious and the service is always great, worth the long drive. A special thank you to Gabe for making my husband's birthday memorable. I also want to thank Robert and the entire team for working so well together. I cannot recommend 42nd Street Oyster Bar enough for its consistently delicious food and exceptional service. My family has been coming here for the past 15 years, and it is absolutely worth the one-hour drive.
We went here for a mommy/daughter date. I really like the decor, lighting, and the atmosphere. We went on a weeknight. It was not too busy but there were a decent amount of people there. Server was very nice but didn’t refill my drink as much as I wanted. I waited long in between refills. The crab spinach artichoke dip didn’t have much crabmeat in it which was disappointing. Other than the lack of crab, it was very delicious. I ordered the crab and shrimp fettuccine with poblano sauce. It was delightful but ratio of shrimp to crab was very off. Very little crab compared to the amount of shrimp. Overall, I would come back again and try another dish that doesn’t include crabmeat.
As always, the food, service and ambiance of 42nd Street was extraordinary! Our server, eric, was excellent and most helpful with all our questions. We look forward to returning there, soon!
