Surprisingly, it was not busy at all on an early Saturday evening (18:00 in November, after daylight savings ended). We had options to sit outside or in. We opted for inside. One interesting thing that was neither positive nor negative was that we were seated in a booth where my friend and I sat next to each other. For most
Cape Fear is now in my top 5 seafood restaurants to visit! I came across them on google when I was looking for a seafood restaurant in the Raleigh area. I saw they had fried claim strips and knew off gate I had to check them out because it?s hard to come across restaurants that serve fried claim strips. I?m soooo glad I went with my gut with coming to Cape Fear Seafood because everything they served was FRESH! The vibe was great. A very chilled and relaxing
We were in the mood for some seafood and wanted to stay in the downtownish area. This is in the heart of the village district. Plenty of seating inside and out. Huge menu with delicious options. The crab cakes are amazing and so is the shrimp appetizer. I highly recommend going here for some clsssic seafood.
First time here. Wonderful service! Wonderful food! If you?re ever in the Raleigh Durham area and are looking for seafood this place is a must to visit. Dress code is wide open. I saw shorts and t-shirts as well as very well dressed, but no one seemed to care because it is all about the food! The staff here are the greatest waitstaff I have run across in a long time and the cooks in the kitchen know how to make a great seafood meal. We all enjoyed our meals and tasted
Service is too notch! Hush puppies are like some magical combo of a hush puppy and the best tasting onion ring. Calamari had perfect texture and flavor. Clam chowder was odd and a bit of an orange ish pinkish color. I'd pass next time on the cup of chowder. Ahi was good and loved the crab butter sauce. Risotto would be a pass and the grilled potatoes were nothing special. Crab cakes were really good with a high ratio of crab meat. Would love to return.
