Diners skewed towards a younger set. Menu choices are up to date and fresh. Two members of our group had steak and both were impressed with the quality of the beef and really savored the pepper sauce that accompanied their meal. I had chicken and a top quality risotto. The wine list had a good range of choices, all within a moderate price range. All in all, a nice evening.
1st night we went there were 5 of us everyone was happy with their meal and the service was friendly and pleasant. 2 of the house special steak, 1 entrecote, 1 lamb and 1 of the seasonal salads. The mains come with a choice of vegetables, frites or salad. Desserts included the Cafe Gourmand (highly recommended) and a cheese plate which was so enormous I would serve it to 8 people at the end of a dinner party! The menu is a mix of permanent items and seasonal offerings. The food was well cooked and fresh and generous portions. I returned there the next night with my sister as we had enjoyed it so much the previous one. This time I had the entrecote (which is very tender and I would recommend over the house special) I repeated my dessert choice of the Cafe Gourmand and my sister had the Snickers 2.0 which was also very delicious. I should add that the wines were quite reasonably priced or could be had by the glass for 5.50 euros. Highly recommend as a place to eat in Metz. Probably our favourite place to date in France.
We called in here on Wednesday evening, having read the Trip Advisor reviews, and they managed to find us a table in a pretty full restaurant. It had a really relaxed and friendly ambiance and our lovely waitress, once she realised that we we English, wanted to practice her (already very good) English on us. Both the main courses and puddings were delicious and we had an excellent evening. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would like to visit it again!
This restaurant was one block from where we were staying in Metz. It took us one minute to walk there. We had an outstanding meal. My spouse had the special of the day which was scallops. I had the house special which was rump steak with your choice of three sauces. I had the house secret sauce which was a bearnaise sauce with mustard and I think tarragon. Both dishes were excellent. We both had dessert. He had the strawberries and raspberries with chocolate. I had the carmel and apple. They were both outstanding. Service was outstanding. Prices were reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We found it difficult to find a reasonably priced restaurant in this town and this was a cut above others we saw. When I went at lunchtime to book for that evening the place was buzzing - a good sign! The interior is light & contemporary & the staff are efficient & friendly. We enjoyed a starter & main for 29 euros accompanied by an excellent Rousillon red. The cuisine is traditional French with a modern twist. I can recommend the tartare du saumon & the souris d'agneau.
