La Paillote - Meuzac

Excellent wholesome food lovingly prepared and presented. Well balanced menu with something for all taste. Friendly accommodating staff. We will definitely return. Exceeded all expectations.

We were hungry. It was late. We hadn't been able to find a place that was open. So we took the next exit off A-20 and drove into Meuzac. We pulled up to this little place that looked deserted and were about to turn around and drive back to the highway when a woman poked her head out and motioned for us to come in. We did, and within minutes another couple was there, looking for a restaurant too. Later a group of six also dined there. It looked like an open-air, beach pit grill but was a gourmet dining experience--absolutely delicious! The appetizer, a foie gras creme brûlée, was outstanding; the risotto with shrimp and scallops, to die for. La Paillote was one of the highlights of our two weeks in France.

Superb view of the lake with a very beautiful waitress and what to say excellent bravo to the cook. We'll be back.

For those who appreciate the excellent fried mussels carefully served, make the detour. every Thursday in the summer, but be careful, you have to book in advance. facing the lake, with ease, the setting is pleasant.

Good evening during the holidays. A pleasure for the children, their granny and me. From amuses to desserts, everything was worth a gourmet restaurant, at affordable prices! Try! I recommend.
