I love coming to do breakfast in this place, try the cafe de olla it is really really good. Dishes are excellent and so is the service. They have a small playroom for children. I love the mexican architecture of the restaurant. Try it when...visiting Mexicali!

Went here on our first visit to Mexicali and Julia’s did not disappoint! Guacamole, voodoo steak (a name something like that), and the flan were really good. I’m not a dessert person either! Nice staff.

As soon as we got there I was impressed. It's a house! Spacious parking lot with security. Seating outside. It was at night so it looked romantic with the dimmed lighting. Big beautiful wood Mexican Hacienda style doors. Breathtaking decor as soon as you step...inside. The whole house is a piece of art. I fell in LOVE as soon as I saw plates on the tables. They are Talavera exquisite pieces of art. The menu was a nice surprise, not your typical pieces of paper, instead art, creative. The food was delishcious and I wanted to order more but I was stuffed. I will definately come back again, soon. The hostess was welcoming and had a great smile. Our waiter was very helpful and patient with great attitude. The security outside was very nice, walked us to our car. I don't drink but the bar looked like fun. I was told there is live music on Saturday.

If they are in mexicali and want to avoid being screwed by high-end restaurants avoid la casa de julia. it's by far the worse restaurant I've ever been. the service is terrible and eating is mediocre. we ordered tripa tacos. which was dried and tasteless while waiting for our main meal. after 2 hours waiting for the much expected garnel plate (kamarone u10) we received a plate with 3 (three) grilled garnels. what the **** are the cameras? it felt like a bad sweat. I would give it zero stars, but this is not an option.
