Restaurant Pizzeria de la Place

This is a restaurant with a lively atmosphere and beautiful dishes. All three of us went for the lasagna and it was delicious. Recommended

Before to definitely move to Geneva I have been often in this area for business trips as a consultant. This restaurant was the only one open until late on my way back to the hotel and the first time that I got in was for pure case. It was a fantastic experience: despite of the appearence (you might dislike the furniture but this depends on the taste of each one the dishes were delicious, the service perfect and the waiters super gentle. I had the oppurtunity to meet also the owner, a wonderful person, friendly and always in search of your feedback in order to give you satisfaction. I decided to go back many times and I tried almost all the dishes in the menu. Go for pasta and you will always be satisfied, he has a very good selection of italian pasta and typical sauces! If you are really hungry try Penne alla Siciliana and you will barely be able to finish your plate (if you want there is also the possibility to take away the remaining part . You can try also pizza which is super good as well and all the other dishes that you can ifnd in the menu: you'll never be disappointed and if you are the owner is always willing to propose you something else to make you happy. Quality, courteousness, real Italian dishes, what else would you find in an Italian restaurant? : Definitely recommended if you are in the area.

Family owned restaurant. The owner is also in the kitchen, a young talented chef from the south of Italy. Daily meals proposed at about 17-18 CHF with great variety during the weeks. To be absolutely tried: penne agli scampi, linguine all'astice (ask the chef to show you the alive lobster before he cooks it). Wide variety of wines with wide range of prices. Very nice furnished cave. Not to miss the spaghetti alle vongole (spaghetti or linguine with clams) that are fresh (tip: they arrive fresh every Tuesday and Thursday). Very good pizza that thanks to superior ingredients is delicious and with an electric oven. Very near to CERN, not to be missed.

It’s really a good neighborhood restaurant! The food is delicious. The portions are very decent and special mention for the salmon pasta!
