We stumbled across this place after a long drive up East Cape Road, looking for quick lunch. Met the mother/daughter team who owns Nancy's and found the best shrimp and cheese stuffed poblanos we have ever had. The beer was exceptionally cold, the home-made tortillas outstanding and prices more than reasonable. Loved talking to the mother (Nancy?) about the history of Cabo Pulmo. Will definitely stop by again on our next trip to the area.
We came back a second time to Nancy's to have the amazing shrimp rellenos. Huge, fat and juicy, lots of big shrimp. To top off the meal, the Mexican flan was amazing. Also did a repeat eat the night before we left town. Be sure to visit Nancy's, which is tucked away off the main road in town behind El Caballero.
Nancy's is a lovely restaurant with a small selection of fresh, seasonal food. The atmosphere is really special--a beautiful candlelit garden and palapa area, and warm and attentive service. And Nancy herself will stop by to make sure that you're having a good time. When we were there the fisherman hadn't caught much because of some heavy swells, so fish was off the menu--which is a good thing! Much better to know that your food is absolutely fresh, right? We had shrimp guajillo and chicken enchiladas mole and enjoyed everything.
Spent a very enjoyable evening at Nancy's. Very good food, fresh and tasty and excellent margaritas to quench our thirst. The highlight of the evening tho was the conversation with Nancy, great stories and history of the area from someone who has been there and lived it for many years. Fascinating.
