A Fish Called Avalon - Miami Beach

Their orzo paella is one of the best seafood dishes I've ever had, and I can’t stop thinking about it. Honestly, it may have spoiled all other paellas for me. The fish was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection, and each piece of orzo melted in my mouth, complemented by the rich sauce. It was both hearty and surprisingly light at the same time. My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful meal there, with everything from the cocktails to the dessert being delicious. It’s been a while, and I believe their menu has changed, but we also loved a dessert that was similar to bananas foster—it was amazing! The service was excellent, and the ambiance created the perfect setting for a romantic date night.

The ambiance was fantastic, and the service was excellent! The cocktails were outstanding and perfectly balanced. We ordered the paella for two, which was just the right portion for sharing. I don't typically eat seafood, but I must say that this dish was exceptional. For dessert, we had the key lime pie, which was also delicious. I would definitely return the next time I'm in town without any hesitation.

A Fish Called Avalon was outstanding in every aspect. Our waiter, Boyan, was fantastic—always available when we needed him but never intrusive. The drinks were of excellent quality; my husband declared his mojito the best he'd ever tasted. The salads were superb and worth the $11-13 price range. The entrees were exceptional as well. My scallops were tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Prior to this restaurant, we had only experienced mediocre food in Miami, so this was a true redemption! The atmosphere was lively and had that quintessential South Beach vibe.

The food and atmosphere were outstanding. It was a night we will always remember. We can't wait to come back!
