Arepas Sand Wish - Miami Beach

I cannot express how delicious the fried shrimp arepas are here. We ordered veggie, bean, and shrimp, but the shrimp outshined them all. This truly is the re-imagining of southern shrimp and cheese grits made into an amazing sandwich where the grits have been transformed into bread and it’s smothered in the most delicious cheese you can imagine.Don’t miss this if you are in the area and you need a quick bite to eat.

This person lacks basic customer service skills and seemed to take pleasure in my disappointment. However, I did enjoy the drink that someone else had customized for me the day before with just a simple request.

The food was amazing! I had the passion fruit juice, a chicken enchilada, and yuca fries. My mom ordered an arepa, and it was excellent. While I probably won’t be able to return since I live in Iowa, if I find myself back in Miami, I will definitely come again!

I was really excited to try this place as someone who enjoys arepas. The staff was really kind and friendly. The food was not great. It was excessively oily/buttery with little flavor in the meat. The beans and plantain were okay but was not a cohesive dish.

We came in for lunch during our convention at the convention center. So glad we did. The food is delicious. I had the tacos (one pork, one chicken) and they were ??. If I lived here I would be in trouble, eating tacos every day. My husband ordered an Arepa which was a also yummy! They make everything to order so it took a little longer and we had to rush a bit but it was worth it. If you're nearby try them you won't be disappointed. It was a small restaurant so order ahead or plan for a cozy meal.
