The Kitchen At Calder Casino

Everything was fantastic. The only issue—though understandable—was that they were in the midst of updating their menu, so some items that were listed weren't available. I simply selected something else and had a wonderful evening.

The food was average for a restaurant. The kitchen doesn't compare favorably to the previous buffet. The waitress only came to our table about once every 15 minutes, which felt a bit lacking. Overall, it was a pleasant meal, but dinner took an hour and a half.

The special menu was very set, for example green beans and corn not one or the other, potatoes and sweet potatoes again no choice. This restaurant was far superior as buffet, change back and business will return.

The interior design was like a cafeteria, Bland and ugly, not inviting at all. You need to seriously use design, lighting and how to create intimate dining places instead of the open rectangular gym-like space currently in use. The waitress was nice and friendly, but seemed new, confused so many trips back and forth. We chose a wine bottle listed, then it was said that we don't wear it anymore, so a menu update is required. Paper napkins and cutlery in a paper bag, made on the table is NOT high end!!!!! How can someone in your organization think that this is acceptable? The food was below average, not appetizing, and quite bland. The whole restaurant had only two tables of guests, yet our order came to the table wrong. They needed a CHEF because the person responsible for our meals was not well trained at all. I can eat better at home. For example, we ordered pasta dishes that arrived soft and muddy as if the pasta had been precooked and then reheated. My chicken piccata was soft and tasteless, instead of it should have been made like crispy and fresh with fresh lemon. We can see why your restaurant is completely empty from guests, and we would return NIE for a second dinner, unless you make some great and quick improvements. It is such a shame, as we regularly eat at Seminole Casino in Pompano Beach, The Isle in Pompano Beach, and also the Hard Rock Casino....ALL of these casinos have WONDERFUL restaurants with fantastic atmosphere and delicious food. In no way I intend to be evil this email, but we love Calder Casino and we love fine food.... I hope you can use this to make improvements, and if you do, please let us know personally and we would give you another chance. WAKE UP or nearby.... this restaurant is really sad.
