Unfortunately, we didn't have room for dessert this time, but we’ve had some in the past that were outstanding and never disappoint.
Casablanca once seemed like a promising restaurant, but it has definitely lost its appeal. The shrimp scampi was disappointing, featuring small shrimp that reminded me of what you might find at a low-end buffet in Las Vegas, and the sauce was quite bad. Next, we tried the deep-fried red snapper, which was at least cooked properly, but the fish itself was far from fresh. The service was lacking, and they also impose a 20% service fee. To make matters worse, they were out of several main dishes on a Friday night at 7 PM.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. The food was terrible and the portions were quite small compared to other places. We ordered grilled calamari which was so tough it was nearly inedible, and the octopus tasted completely bland and seemed to be frozen. The other appetizers and main dishes were equally disappointing. The drinks were overly watered down. Don't be fooled by the pictures on their website; the food didn't even resemble what was advertised. To make matters worse, they add a 20% service charge plus additional tips. I left feeling extremely disappointed. For the same price, consider dining at Kiki on the River, Seaspice Brasserie Lounge, or Zuma instead.
Great location and awesome service. But, when the menu lists a ribeye at Market Price I expect something thicker than 1/4 1/2 inch thick. A waffle house steak at best $55. Quite a disappointment for my first meal in Miami.Food: 2/5
We saw a sign that said free oysters all day on Wed. Well... It's true! I don't know what kind they were but they were a perfect size for me. They definitely weren't a salty taste. I had to use tobasco to make them taste better. I didn't like them plain at all! We only ordered an appetizer of garlic clams, and 3 drinks. They just kept bringing the oysters. We first had 1dz each. Then they asked did we want more and I said another dz... But they brought us about 18 more! The scenery is of course beautiful. The garlic clams were good, and the drinks were strong! I'd definitely return.
